How do I generate an eTIMS invoice?

Updated June 2026

Short answer

With an eTIMS-ready system you generate the invoice simply by completing the sale: you add the items, take payment, and the system produces the tax invoice and reports it to KRA. You do not run a separate program to issue the eTIMS invoice; it happens as part of the sale.

More detail

The whole point of integrated eTIMS is that invoicing is not an extra step. Ringing up the sale is what creates the compliant invoice.

In Veira, the same sale that prints the customer receipt queues the eTIMS invoice to KRA, so the cashier does the normal job and compliance follows automatically.

Is issuing an eTIMS invoice a separate step?
Not with integrated software. Completing the sale generates the eTIMS invoice, so the cashier does not run a second process.
What if the internet is down when I sell?
A good system keeps selling offline, stores the invoice and sends it to KRA when the connection returns, so the sale is not blocked.
