What is VAT Invoice?
A VAT invoice is a tax invoice that separately shows the net amount, the VAT amount, and the gross amount. In Kenya it must also carry a KRA PIN and now an eTIMS reference.
A real Kenyan example
Net 1,000 + VAT 160 = Gross 1,160. The invoice shows all three, plus the eTIMS code from KRA.
Why it matters
Only VAT invoices qualify for input VAT claims. Without one, your purchase cannot reduce your VAT bill.
How Veira helps
Every Veira POS receipt is a KRA-compliant eTIMS VAT invoice.
