What is Average Transaction Value (ATV)?
ATV is total revenue divided by the number of transactions. It tells you how big the average ticket is.
A real Kenyan example
800k revenue ÷ 1,200 transactions = KES 667 ATV.
Formula
ATV = Revenue ÷ Transactions
Why it matters
Lifting ATV is usually faster and cheaper than acquiring new customers. A 10% ATV lift = 10% revenue lift.
