Choosing and switching to Veira

What do I need to start selling with Veira?

Updated June 2026

Short answer

Three things get you trading: a device, which can be your phone or the free terminal, your product list with prices, and your payment setup, M-Pesa Till or Pochi and a cash float. To file eTIMS you also add your KRA PIN. Onboarding helps put these in place, often the same day.

More detail

You do not need a big setup to begin. A phone, your prices and a way to take payment are enough for a first sale, and the free terminal upgrades that into a proper counter.

Add your KRA PIN to switch on eTIMS filing, and load the rest of your stock as you go. The aim is to be selling quickly, then build out the catalogue rather than waiting for it to be perfect.

Yes. Veira runs on a phone through a browser or app, so you can begin before the free terminal arrives.
Do I need my KRA PIN on day one?
