Why true staff cost matters

Most owners underprice labour because they only count gross pay. Add employer contributions, training, uniforms and the seat the person occupies, and the true cost is 15-25% above gross.

Why include workspace overhead?
Because every employee occupies a seat, a till and tools that depreciate. Ignoring this underprices labour.
Are bonuses included?
Add them to gross. NSSF and AHL apply to gross pay.
What about leave and gratuity?
Add an accrual line for service gratuity if your contract type triggers it (e.g. end-of-contract gratuity).
